Dear Mobile App Developer,

Today we announced the general availability of the Amazon Mobile Ads API which gives you the ability to earn great eCPM by monetizing your app with mobile ads from the Amazon Mobile Ad Network.

Our eCPM has increased 30% since the beta launch in March, and early adopters such as Games2Win are discovering that the Amazon Mobile Ads API is a great monetization solution. "The $2.00 eCPM we saw from Amazon far exceeded our expectation. We tested Amazon in our Kindle app first. Now we're racing to get the Amazon ads integrated in all of our apps across all Android stores," said Mahesh Khambadkone from Games2Win.

Starting today, the Amazon Mobile Ads API will be included as part of our Amazon Mobile App SDK. Apps that use the Amazon Mobile Ads API may be distributed on any Android platform as long as they are available for download through the Amazon App Distribution Program.

Earn a Kindle Fire HD by integrating the Amazon Mobile API in your app in the next few weeks. Here's how:

1. Integrate the Amazon Mobile Ads API into your app. Get started here.
2. Submit your app to the Amazon Mobile App Distribution Portal between July 25th and September 1st. Get started here.
3. Send at least 500 ad requests to the Amazon Mobile Ad Network every week between September 15th and October 19th (see terms and conditions below).

Yes, "as long as they are available for download through the Amazon App Distribution Program" I think it's not easy

A developer may use a single Qualifying App or multiple Qualifying Apps to generate the 500 weekly ad requests as long as the Qualifying Apps are registered to a single developer account.

Well it should be relatively easy to add Kindle Ads to common Ad Interface.
So you can post multiple apps and you should reach combined 500 ad impressions?

This is not a contest, everyone with at least 500 ad requests every week CAN win.

The terms say that it can be combined:

"A developer's Qualifying Apps must send at least 500 ad requests every week during the Offer Period...
A developer may use a single Qualifying App or multiple Qualifying Apps to generate the 500 weekly ad requests as long as the Qualifying Apps are registered to a single developer account."

if you have 5 apps and you set refreshing aggressively on 30 sec. (or less), it's not such big deal - then 10 min online playing per game daily will be enough. @hgvyas123 should try, with his games empire it will be piece of cake

Because it is free and has no value - there should be no customs charge. There might be a handling charge though.

tell that to the German customs office. They usually go by the value of a product. A few months ago they confiscated a rare violin from an Asian musician because she didn't declare customs on her instrument which she owned for a long time. As it was worth several million dollars she had to pay alot to get it back. And this because her transatlantic flight was just stopping in Frankfurt and she was suppose to fly further out of Germany again. Go figure.

Now is the time to cheat like the BEER SDK, make some app, add Kindle AD's (and hope that you get ads displayed even if you are not in the US or some specific countries only) then download each others apps, keep tapping on the AD's (atleast tap about 10 AD's a day) VOILA!! Everyone gets a Kindle HD...

Hope it was as simple as that....

@OZApps If I good understand, "ad request" is the request an ad from amazon server, it doesn't mean "tapping" the ads. There is only need to refresh them as often as possible

@FXOne, that would also add some value (optional).

However, just downloading the apps that have these and spending 10 minutes to allow for ads to display should be good enough.

So place the ads between main screen and start game
1. user taps on Play
2. it displays an AD
3. user closes AD and selects Main Menu instead of level/mode
3. loop to 1.

one of the my friend has done this business in the past and he had even earned around 50$ in almost 1 week (in india usually you get 1 cent per click) and after that google has blocked his account.

The idea behind this cheat was that others give your app a good rating, they look at your ads, giving you a good fill rate, and most importantly you avoid people finding out that the only review for your own app is your own...

Hi all

I've just integrated Amazon Ads in my Android app (native, still working on a small Gideros Game) and I don't see ads in my app unless I turn testing on.

Then I saw this in the FAQ:
Which regions are currently supported?
The Amazon Mobile Ad Network currently serves ads to users who live in or are located in the U.S.

I fear this means that only US users will generate ads requests... but I've got no way to test it currently.

Is there anyone here in the US that can try my app and tell me if ads are displayed at the top or not ?

I confirm: only US users will generate ad requests...

I've found it in multiple places... harder for me to get the 500 requests per week, but I'll try.

At the other hand i think winning is not much difficult. all the persons over here who are generating revenue > 100$ are definetly sending atleast 60000 request a month with assumption of 0.5$ ecpm and 100% fillrate which is 2000 a day so in a whole week 500 request seems to be easy target

@hgvyas123 may I ask you about your refreshing of the ads rate?

Has anyone checked if Amazon's Timeout (even 10sec) is the same as Refresh Rate at Admob? Probably yes: it is the same, but I'm not sure. So that would be quite easy even if it's restricted territorially.
EDIT: Timeout it isn't the same as Refresh Rate...According to their statement:

You may also want to refresh the ad after a set time interval. In this case, the Amazon Mobile Ad Network recommends a refresh rate of 30 to 60 seconds. Faster ad refresh intervals could result in blocked ad requests. Please note that the Amazon Mobile Ads API does not provide any built-in functionality for automatically refreshing ads.
