    Hello, and Happy New Year.

    I'm new to Gideros and trying to export a Gideros iOS reader from my Mac (High Sierra 10.13.6 with Xcode 10.1) to my iPad Pro (iOS 14.3). I noticed the Gideros iOS reader is apparently no longer included on the most recent Gideros Mac download and found on this forum that there is instead an Xcode Project for the Gideros iOS reader on GitHub (GiderosIOSPlayer.xcodeproj created on 12/17/2020) and tried to use that. However, that Xcode project wouldn't build due to this solitary Xcode error:

    "Build input file cannot be found: /Users/myname/Desktop/gideros-master/ios/GiderosiOSPlayer/GiderosiOSPlayer/Plugins/strbuf.c'"

    Any suggestions?

      Hi, just generate your own player with Gideros Studio, as you would do to export your projects. Just select 'Player' mode at the bottom of the export dialog to make a player. This is the recommanded way now, as it allows you to choose which plugins should be in the player.

      Thanks. I did what you said, and Gideros Studio generated an Xcode project for the player which I tried to get Xcode to build. However, the build failed with this one error:

      ld: warning: directory not found for option ‘-FTestProject/Frameworks’
      Undefined symbols for architecture arm64:
      “___isPlatformVersionAtLeast”, referenced from:
      MetalShaderEngine::metalShaderEngine(int, int) in libgideros.a(metalShaderEngine.o)
      ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture arm64
      clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)

      I appreciate any further help you could provide on this matter.

      I just googled a bit about the error you get and found this: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/123003

      Gideros libraries are built with Xcode12, and that seems to mean that the final app bust be linked with Xcode 12 too. Unfortunately :(

      Oh, okay, thanks for checking and following up on that. Will need to wait unfortunately until I upgrade my iMac to be able to run Xcode 12. Have a good weekend.

    Hey there,

    Anthony (SinisterSoft) gave me access to the Gideros wiki ( http://wiki.giderosmobile.com) and I noticed there is no HTTPS. In case you have access to the server, https://letsencrypt.org/ provides free automated certs. I use it to protect my sites and Apis (called from my Gideros games) with success.

    Hello, Pixel is create for draw rectangle efficiently, now it's doing lots of type check even if just draw a colored rectangle, what do you think?

      Sorry just seeing this! The purpose was of pixel was to ease the task of drawing a simple colored rectangle, as the old way was to use a Shape and issue five draw commands (Move To, Line To, Line To, Line To, Close). It anyway faster to draw since indice array is shared among all pixels Sprites. It was not supposed to be faster to create.
