How To Add Chat Feature To App?

Hi All!
I wanted to know how to do something. I need to know how I would be able to add a chat functionality to my app.
Here's how it would work:
-First the user would pick friends to add to the chat.
-Then they would be able to chat between ONLY those people they invited.
I wanted to know if there were any Backend Services out there that could do this, and be very easy to implement.

I have not tried to run it in Gideros, most probably you will need to redo the ui to make it work, etc.
Or you can google for Lua Socket Chat to find more similar examples
