A quick question about Gideros HTML5

Hi guys

Since its been a while, I just wanted to double check whether the HTML5 export still loads everything upfront.

Normally if I were to load an atlas in scene1 and a different atlas in scene2, there would be a little pause between scene1 and scene2 as the new atlas is loaded into memory.

I just wanted to double check whether HTML5 loads atlases differently.

HTML5 loads every asset in memory right from the beginning, meaning that files are actually in memory, but they're not uncompressed nor loaded into texture until you use them.

This is different to the normal operation right?

For the native ports, the atlases are only loaded into memory when you load a scene that requires them. Is this correct? - I'd just like to understand how it works

Both yes and no. It is easier to think it as filesystem-in-memory for HTML5 while files are on disk other platforms, that's really the only difference. But of course since files are stored in memory, they consume memory even if you don't open them.

Just a thought: would it be possibile to load assets through urlloader only when required?
