IDE to be associated with .gproj file type

If possible can the IDE "recognise" files of type .gproj.
I've already created an association so that double clicking on a Gideros project will open the IDE but I then have to manually open the project from within the IDE again, this can be a pain if I have to search through directories again to keep finding my projects.
