Level Creation Question

Okay, so I know there have been multiple forum posts about similar things, but I haven't found an answer.
How would I make levels for a platformer?
I know there's a script for TiledAsWorldEditor or something, but I couldn't really wrap my head around how to use it (a tutorial would be great to have somewhere...

)
Or, in Love2D there's a way to use a table to create levels with tilesets in text, using certain characters to represent different tiles, etc.

Ah, okay, I didn't see the V1 video, only V2 (V2 video wasn't as in-depth as V1), but I assume they both work the same way.

But, now, how would I make sure my player (controlled by WASD) and enemies collide right with the level correctly/at all?

If you can get away with non-rotated rectangles I'd recommend using Bump instead of Box2D for collisions, because it's much easier to use and a lot faster.

Okay, so to be perfectly honest, I'm already lost...
I apologize, I'm not the greatest at this sorta thing, new to Gideros. If there's a tutorial somewhere someone could point me to that would be great!

Bump is pretty easy to use, the docs are here:

Not sure if there is a good tutorial to use Bump with a TileMap though?

By tilemap (i'm sorry if this wasn't the right term) I meant using Tiled to create levels and then having a character move around that level, colliding with walls/platforms, etc.

@oleg Okay, not that new...

I've used Gideros for a while, just messing about and know Lua pretty well. I just meant like new to using physics, etc.
