To be able to programmatically override the screen size and clipping method for a particular sprite and it's children would be great, it would mean a programmer could have an easy way of making overlayed game panels that are fixed for particular platforms whilst having the backgrounds dynamic.

A lot of us would want clipping groups something like the HTML DIVs with an overflow:hidden attribute.
