Only just... New job, very busy, more responsibilities especially as I'm now officially the team ScrumMaster - and I still have to make my own tea

I know that both @atilim and @deniz are in a process of evaluation to applying to some awesome project, that would help Gideros if they make it, but it is a every tough competition, so no hopes up and I haven't heard an update from them yet. But the longer the silence, the better they are doing, meaning they haven't been kicked out yet
@ar2rsawseen So in the meantime, what's happening with the 2012.09.11 release which, according to Atilim, would address bugs and include new plugins? That was 4 weeks ago now. Are we to presume from what you've said that nothing's moving on that at the moment either?
I would not say that process stopped completely, but I would presume that it is definitely slowed down. Most probably that is why @atilim is usually very cautious with time estimates, cause you will never know when something like that comes up and as CEO/CTO, they both need to be on every possible meeting, sometimes @atilim even more than @deniz
@ar2rsawseen, I would also rather agree, it almost seems that @Atilim has gone away on a well deserved break, but that is not Atilim's style, he would always have something to show and get people to play with, it has been quiet for far too long... what's up? it seems you are running Gideros these days as you are the only one we hear from
Yeb,I have come here every day in hope of an update, but I have to say it has been very long,As for a simple update on how the Gideros project is going would be enough.
One of the things notably missing from the lovely new site is a news/blog style section, where updates, new features etc could be mentioned. I understand there are social media links(facebook, twitter etc) but I think it would be nice to see something on the main page, to show the product is being actively updated. (I guess this news could be added to the banners that change, one banner for latest news.
Would it be possible to push notification to us by email for new release. I think most of us would agree with me rather than pull the site to check everyday.
But then you'd miss out on all the fun diversions that these threads often take

@ar2rsawseen Sure, it's a problem between betting on the future or consolidating what you already have, I understand that. But nearly 3 months since a minor release, and having been told that the major update is also on hold, it's a little bit concerning (again) as we're back to little coming through the pipeline and nobody commits to any time frames at all. Can't say that the R&D thing they won before Christmas really appears to have made much difference yet either, despite being told to expect big changes from January. A new website? Whilst great, that's hardly in the big changes league.
@techojo, while it is fun being a bit off-topic, it also creates a bit of agitation and problems amongst the ones that seriously await new functionality.
@moopf unfortunately Gideros haven't received anything from R&D yet, the process of getting all documents done and moving funds is too slow. So all those changes are still yet to come
@OZapps - I understand, but as I've said previously (on many occasions) frameworks and SDK's like Gideros should be evaluated on what they offer NOW, not what features "may" come down the line in the future. You can't base business or development decisions on "vapourware" features, only what is real now and what works now.
Future features are nice to have but you should never rely on them actually appearing - especially if they form a key part of your own future plans.

As a serious paid developer ,I am here to make a living first, and at the start I accepted that since gideros team is small , they might have late updates,That is accepted in my point of view. at the very very minimum; as a paid developer and customer I expect to get some transparency on what is going on from behind the scenes to give me some reassurance that the project is still alive. not on daily basis but maybe weekly. I am not trying to talk for everyone else, but I think a bit of transparency and communication will go a long way. Thanks
