Hi guys,
My name is Nenad, founder of small design shop No Sheet. I've been programming since mid-80ies in a variety of language before I settled on Lua (a particular beer-named SDK) about a year ago. I had a great time, I released a critically acclaimed game a few months ago (
Spin Up ), but my ambition has grown bigger than a couple of features that the SDK mentioned above were spoon feeding their developers.
Obviously, the ability to code C plugins was the deciding factor for me to switch and come here.
Just starting up with Gideros, and I already am having a blast.
Looking forward to talk to all of you in forums.
Cheers

Anyway as the others have said - welcome and @Scouser beat me to the crappy ad joke - probably because he knows all about "sheet" code
Edit : @NoSheet - did you ever update your app to support retina displays on the new ipad, the last corona game I tried (Critter Quitter) didn't and I can only see the top corner of the display, I know Ansca were working on a fix, did you implement it?

Also, I do think plugins are the key to long term success for Gideros. Everytime I check the C SDK forums I see their users basically begging for fairly trivial features with no response from the devs. I always want to just tell the posters hey look at Gideros! but that would be poor form I think (to do it over and over on their forums I mean).
Word will keep getting around though.

Yes I also first heard of Gideros from OzApp's posts in CSDK forums. Wish I have seen it earlier, but then again - better late than never!
@techdojo: Yes, SpinUp is Retina-enabled. I actually waited for a couple of days to release before the bug with 5.1 viewport was fixed
@Scouser: HEHE I didn't know about the commercial before, but just looked it up on Youtube. Makes me think about redoing my visual identity, to take the advantage of my brother Juan's popularity
