  https://www.reddit.com/r/gameassets/ is a good one to visit now and again for free game assets. The itch.io people generally post there also.

  not exactly an asset, but still quite useful:
  rent a mac in the cloud for a reasonable price using scaleway.com (like 3 usd/day)
  good if you don't have a mac but want to publish to the ios store or just test your app on a mac. they even sent a coupon after registering and waiting a few days that allows to test it for 30 days.
  it was a bit of a pain to set up the needed vnc on my windows machine, realvnc did the job at the end.
