  You can submit with any variety of Windows 10 (home, pro, etc)
  
  For Xbox One you also need to join either id@xbox (free, but quite a lot of paperwork) OR the creator's program (they spell it like that, but it should be programme as it isn't code! )...

  You will have to pay a one-off fee of $19 (individual) or ($99) company to have access to the store (as a developer). I had a voucher about 4 years ago (supplied by id@xbox), so you may be able to find one, I'm also not sure if you can somehow get the individual membership then convert it to a company for free (saving $80).
  
  As well as UWP, you can put Win32 programs on the store, you will need to run a 'command line' command to package them, but after that, it's really straightforward.

  I think Win10 Pro allows you to also run the Linux Kernel alongside the Windows Kernel, plus a few other things.

  @oleg Windows 7 Pro can be upgraded to 10 pro free of charge...
  
  Just go here, do the upgrade over what you have. Don't enter a licence code if ask (click 'do it later'), at the end you should have registered windows 10 pro.

  I did this about 3 weeks ago for a Lenovo All-in-one Windows 7 computer I bought from box.co.uk for my son. That night it was updated to Windows 10 - didn't have to pay anything.

  Yes, it is. I have mine as a gift from the Microsoft BizSpark programme years ago. The one with the computer from box.co.uk was also legit, it was from Lenovo in the documentation.

  @oleg, I used to do that too. Win10 runs faster though on the same old Win7 hardware - it's not like Windows 8. You can even force it to use older drivers (even from win 2k).

  Gideros is not available in the microsoft store, @hgy29 I think if you add Gideros to the store, it will add popularity to the engine.
