Google is ending Play Service support for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

  It doesn't seem to be anything to worry about, unless google starts refusing apps which claim to still support 4.0 and older. But this posts refers to play services and not play store, so it is linked to the version of play service you are using. We raised it to 16 min in 2018.12.

  OK thanks, I think I read elsewhere too that Google will also limit discoverability of apps that have set 4.0 as min. I just got done with weeks of rebuilds across Google and Amazon all built with 2018.10 so 'really don't' want to rebuild them all again yet.
  
  I did rebuild one however with 2018.12 tho as a test and it still states on store it's minimum is 'Requires Android 4.0 and up' that is why I am confused. Surely that should now show as 'Requires Android 4.1 and up' on store if built with Jellybean API16 as minimum using 2018.12 to build it with.

  Yes just built a new app with 2018.12 and it now states on play store correctly... 'Requires Android 4.1 and up'.
