I'm pondering using .ogg instead of .mp3 in my new game for iOS and Android. Obvious benefits appear to be smaller file size and accurate loops on Android. Is this true? Worth it, or better to stick with .mp3?
@totebo the downside is performance from what @SinisterSoft has said. If you have cycles to spare then fo for ogg for the better looping, otherwise stick with mp3 and maybe have music that doesn't have to perfectly loop
The game I'm working on at the moment is not that demanding, so CPU consuming .ogg would be fine. They don't loop (at all) at the moment, but fear not, @hgy29 is on the case!
