There is something similar for Spriter, but it is old and I suppose no longer working too by user @PanPan If you're skilled enough, Spriter provides a C# and C++ implementations that I believe could become a gideros plugin.. that's unfortunately out of my league or I would have done it already https://brashmonkey.com/forum/index.php?/forum/17-spriter-implementations/
Edit. I just noticed that dragonbones is free, which may be a plus vs spriter and spline
@totebo old github Gideros-Spine project seems to be working perfectly well in the last release of Gideros: https://github.com/stnguyen/spine-gideros @oleg if you will test Dragonbones' export, let us know how is it going

Skeletal support would be one of the things I would like also. But I'd like a nice native vmath library like Defold has, or some native path-finding library, or a native steering library, and a bunch of other things that are actually useful for creating games.
AFAIK there are only a few people here that can make plugins. I've looked but never found much information. I know there' a french language document somewhere but I think a clearly written, easy to follow along tutorial for Windows and Mac would be great (if it does not already exist)
@oleg darn, that's a shame. But I'd like a nice native vmath library like Defold has, or some native path-finding library, or a native steering library, and a bunch of other things that are actually useful for creating games.
for all this there is unity3d,
and from hyderos I have other expectations it's important for me to get into a niche for this important file size < 25 mb

@oleg why are you concerned about <25mb? As far as I know today good standart is <100mb.

@antix, do what I do and add a specific feature request in GitHub as an issue. At least then it's officially requested, and other members can add dtheir "hear hear" if they feel it's a good feature.
That said, I haven't yet added Spine as a feature request, because I haven't yet researched Spine/Dragonbones to link to the file format etc.
@oleg sure but a small library for vector math (vector length, etc) would not increase APK sizes very much at all. If other plugins (steering, pathfinding) were optional then the APK wouldn't get bigger unless you decided to include those plugins.
Anything that makes Gideros run faster is good for us
@totebo I guess so mate but I've been there tried that.. didn't work. Obviously my ideas are stupid
@oleg cay you explain what do you mean? I'm new to mobile development, I should've missed something very basic how does filesize affect competition? I thought every user has decent smartphone that can handle 100mb apps without any problems

@antix, you can approach directly some core developer with an offer if you really need some plugin. e.g. during summer @hgy29 was very helpful and implemented Screen class for additional window and a camera plugin to suit my needs and so i was able to use gideros for a short-term urgent project which otherwise i could not.
also i think the price was very friendly, perfectly meeting what i could offer.
@oleg let's go to new Facebook Instant Games, it's hot!

@keszegh Whilst I could pay somebody to make a plugin I would much rather make one myself.
One of the features of Gideros is that is it extensible by creating your own plugins but in all honesty if you think about that statement it is not true if you have not been provided with an easy to follow guide on how to accomplish it.
@antix, i agree that making plugins is far from easy and far from perfectly documented, yet in the very past i could make an android plugin and later on i could extend the media plugin on github with some additional desktop features, so it is not impossible if you really want (and core developers are helpful if you are stuck). surely i agree that writing plugins is one department which could be improved.
@oleg thanks for the link, had not come across that. Do any of those actually work?
Then looking at one or two of these I remembered.. I would then have to p*ss about with Android Studio to make them work in my apps. Meh, I'll forget plugins now.
@antix Do you mean you want some basic trig functions to do things like find the length between two points, etc ?
