Hi Giderians,
Android Studio is the recommanded way to develop for Android since a few years now, and it becomes difficult and time consuming to maintain both Android Studio and Eclipse sides of export.
So we (the core team) decided to drop support for Eclipse in 2017 releases of Gideros.
We hope this makes sense to all of you too.

BTW I agree getting rid of Eclipse is a good idea. It is only barely (unofficially) supported for Android anyway now. However, Android Studio seems so slow and heavy, worse than Eclipse. The best solution is to build at the command prompt for all OS's including iOS (xcodebuild), WinRT (msbuild), Android (gradle) etc...
