  You haven't installed a new version of Gideros, then reverted to an older one have you? That can cause issues.

  Nope, still the same issue. I've tried reinstalling the latest guiders version, as well as deleting it from the applications folder (mac) and installing again.
  
  I still keep getting this message ...
  
  main.lua:XX: attempt to index global 'Shader' (a nil value)

  You must be running an old version of Gideros.

  Just to be sure: which version does the player window print when you launch it ? If it is indeed something recent then it may be an issue with the Mac version ?

  I just checked on my Mac with a fresh install of Gideros 2015.12: no issue, shaders work as they should...

  I think I might have found the problem - the Gideros Android player needs updating as well.
  
  I've just successfully tested the shaders on the desktop player, but on Android it throws the error. I assume that all I have to do, is install the new player on my phone.

  Yes of course! Everytime you upgrade gideros you should update players as well.
