Hello giderians,
I've been attempting to port gideros to HTML5 through emscripten for some time now, and I am pleased to announce that I finally got some success in this field. This leads me to think that having HTML5 export from gideros is no longer a dream, though there is some more heavy work in the path.
I am thinking about launching a kickstarter campaign for HTML5, and I was wondering how many of you would be interested in this feature and ready to financially support the project.
UPDATE:
The kickstarter is now live at Gideros for the Web.Thanks for your interest

But I would give something to the Gideros Cause anyway: you (Core Team) are already doing a great job.
Thank you

Second of all for the HTML 5 support definitely count me in +++:D
Fragmenter - animated loop machine and IKONOMIKON - the memory game
But back to HTML5, go go go!
We chose to move away from buggy 3rd party wrappers and the monitisation and performance issues inherent with HTML5 on mobile, but we do miss being able to include demos on our website.
As developers of educational games it would open up a lot of possibilities for us, especially for use in schools etc.

Time to prepare a kickstarter then!

btw the feature i would like most is wacom pen support on desktop which basically was done by @tkhnoman, but it did not get into the main branch yet.

Yes core things are working (graphics, audio, input), I wasn't too confident launching a kickstarter before having made this part work.
What's left:
- many glue functions (vibrate, getDeviceName, ...)
- url loader
- keyboard input
- audio mod support
- plugins ...
And of course a lot of testing!

We all want this to work, high expectations, great job!
One question, why Godot is going the way of WebAssembly?
About WebAssembly, it looks like it will be the successor of asm.js which we will use for now. WebAssembly is not mature yet, but once it is we should be able to use it just by adding a simple compile time option to the build script.
Or so they say...

Double bonus points if this can be integrated with the current Gideros updates and have a single app for all targets.
Although after Apple's announcement this week - you might get more interest if you can target TVOS as well.
