Gideros Player not opening!

Hello there,
I'm new to gideros and I just downloaded the program. Just to get familiar with it I wanted to start a simple test involving printing ("Hello") to the ouput to see if everthing is working fine... However, I can't get the gideros player to start. I open the "Player" tab and click "Start Local Player" but nothing happens... The play and stop buttons don't even enable.
Is there something I'm doing wrong or I forgot to do?

Btw are you running on pc or Mac and which version of the OS?
