  Can you also transfer data to a device outside your local network by using unite, without a server in between?

  Unfortunately not. Unite works only on local WiFi networks. As a side note, public networks like Starbucks free WiFi won't work because they assign different IPs to different devices.

  I never used this, i know we can transfer data from one phone to another with a mobile phone transfer app, and we should connect two mobile phones to computer at the same time.
