I like all the interesting infos in the updates. i hope you invest (at least this much) time into the marketing side, i.e. making sure that the 3000 (or perhaps 4000) will be reached.
The fact that shaders will be be added with this Kickstarter if huge - it should be mentioned more in the main text. I'm amazed that more money hasn't been donated so far.

@john26, If you are interested I can offer to give Fragmenter Pro ( http://psychomachie.com/fragmenter/ ) pc version as a reward for people reaching say 10gbp, let me know.
@zeszegh That's great - just watched some videos on it.

If it gets to the Raspberry Pi version then I'll be releasing 'full for free' (no IAP/no adverts) versions of my games for the Pi edition of the games...

If everyone else commits to do the same (for the Pi version) then maybe @john26 can do an update to the Kickstarter info saying what Free Pi games will be released if successful?

@SinisterSoft, thanks very much for this initiative. Please add Nebula Retro (and source code too of course!)
@kezegh, many thanks, that is a very generous offer. I will get in touch by PM on this later. Currently I'm staying with relatives in a low-internet area so will wait till I get to learn more about Fragmenter.
BTW, we have been trying to contact Microsoft and Raspberry Pi about the Kickstarter but so far they have declined to answer our emails :-(

Hello,I have a suggestion,Why not make a list of the people who want to use the Gideros for Windows phone software ,and then 3000 pounds / amount of people who want to use it = amount we have to pay This way we pay our share. Just make a list and give it a week, after that just split the cost and I am ready to pay my share. Simlpe and to the point
@zoolax, it's apparently at most 44 people as probably all of these people had already contributed. so it's 3000/44~70gbp per person minimally. but there are people who contributed 500gbp, so a bit less per person could be enough. for me 70gbp is a bit more than i would want to pay but it's surely may lay within the highest limit i can imagine.
@keszegh For me too,but as a business decision ,I am willing to do that. This is their cost, and I am the client ,so If I have to use their service, and I feel it worths it,which I do ,I have to pay for that amount.and If I do not ,that is ok too. This is the only way that they will get their cost.Since I am not so optimistic about the kick starter campaign any more.
Hopefully it will have some burst of activity in the last few days.
I'm suprised that someone at Apple (for the OSX) or Microsoft (for the various windows) or the Raspberry Pi foundation (for the Pi stretch goal) haven't just donated the money to get it done. It's a fraction of the bar bill at one of their events.

@SinisterSoft for Microsoft it seems basically, if you are not Xamarin level, they are not interested in you.
And even if kickstarter fails and there are still people wanting the support for specific platforms, we can set up Patreon page and dedicate any amount each feel comfortable to help contributors keep working. Of course if they are up to it
surely 2000gbp is also not an insignificant money so perhaps with some additional help @john26 and @marcelojunior may agree to do the stuff for that amount. but even if they agree, that will also need patreon or another kickstarter.
in any case let's do everything for this kickstarter, for the last few days.
I've left word with someone who works for the Raspberry Pi foundation. He is on holiday until the 9th though - so hopefully in a couple of days he will be able to take a look and tell someone that matters there about the Kickstarter.

I backed it too, hoping that the new Gideros will work for 64bit iOS. Because there is no point of using Gideros if we loose the iOS market (even if it support Windows devices / desktops). I think if the Kickstart was stating that 64bit support will be added there would be more supporters. I would actually pledge more if I was assured that 64bit support will be included and I know someone that would donate even more if that was the case.
Sorry for my late reply. I've been away on holiday and not really on internet.
I think we can indeed make 64-bit iOS support a goal of the Kickstarter and include it within the £3000 target. I've read a bit about this and there doesn't seem to be any particular barrier other than some time with debugging etc. As @ar2rsawseen has pointed out, Gideros is written in standard C++ and Lua API in ANSI C so there is no technical barrier to compiling the whole toolchain in 64 bit (or any number of bits: C is not bit-specific!). The only slight barrier is byte compiling the Lua code. We need to give the user the option to byte compile in 32 or 64 bit, not byte compile at all or use LuaJIT. This is some work but nothing fundamentally difficult.
I feel sure by the time we've gone into the guts of Gideros to get the WP8/desktop stuff working, adding 64-bit iOS support will be trivial. (and we can take the opportunity to allow 64 bit compilation of desktop and Windows Store apps as well. 64 bit is supported - but not enforced - on those platforms)
And I want this too as I also have an app on iOS and want to be able to update it after February!
So tomorrow morning I will add "iOS 64 bit" as a goal within the £3000 target -- look out for an update!
@zoolax "3000 pounds / amount of people who want to use it = amount we have to pay"
I think this hits the nail on the head. You may have noticed in update #2 I tried to "subtly" encourage people to put more money in. Now I want to be more plain: if you've got even one app in iOS or Android, then you should put in at least £50. I know it's hard to say what will happen but realistically there is a good chance you will make £50 from being able to deploy even one app to the 3 new targets. Think about it! with the PC market alone you are addressing nearly 1 billion new computers. Every single new PC has the Windows Store right on the front page!
So I would call on everyone here: if you are interested in this project, please pledge at least £50. If you all do this, we will hit the target. And I realistically think that is the ONLY way we can do it: we cannot rely on Microsoft or anyone else to fund this. Passers by will (and have) put in a small amount but this is not realistically a project which will capture the imagination of the general public. It is we (the active Gideros users) who must fund the bulk of the money.
