Player Feature Request

Hey,

In the Gideros player it would be very helpful to be able to restart the application from the player. e.g. CTRL+R.

I know I can just rehit the play button, but on occasion (e.g. setting up a physics scene) it would be far more useful to just hit a refresh.

Yep, for my use case I'm trying to set up physics with a bunch of objects at the start of a game. Its a little awkward to switch over before everything lays to rest. Corona provided this feature and for this scenario exactly, I found it very useful.

Not a biggie, but I'll request it nonetheless.

I like to use Always on Top when using the windows player so I can see as I run. It's also handy to start everything paused and set it up so everything runs on a first click or something in the mean time.

You know what else would be cool, if I imagine a game, and open Gideros Studio and it codes me the game I imagined.
But @atilim would never get to that feature, if you all will squeak for some tiny improvements.

)

If this thread is about requests, then I guess a build system that bypasses Eclipse and can be run using something like make would be a good start. Sometimes great things also start with small little ones

as there is no level editor I need to put objects precisely on the scene. so everytime I make a little change and want to see the result immediately. always on top seems a good solution but still, this would be a great feature.

I've not tried it, but it seems ideally suited for what you're looking to do.

Good point but
1) I don't think most humans can think such clearly and systematical that there would be a lot of developer's who could develop that way
2) I already have a job and these are side projects, why not make them more efficient?

3) We can always ask @atilim to create that feature secretly and release only to special members

That would lose the special edge that Gideros has against the Beer SDK where things were/are provided at different levels depending on the user/special members and you can see what is happening because of that.
