  If you mean prevent garbage collection of running MovieClips, it causes much more trouble. And fixing GTween is easier
  

  I mean not add the movieclip to stage, just use it to run an action on a sprite that is already on the stage.
  
  If it's trouble to keep a reference internally, I can keep it myself.
