  @MoKaLux There is another way to solve your problem that is using Gideros Native Bridge Plugin to call the java function from LUA.
  In that way, you can import and be using your favorite java text processing and call some static function from LUA

  thank you I will try your solution if I can't do it the lua way. I need to learn both lua (ah lua!) and the capabilities of gideros. Next step is now: having a look at gideros native bridge plugin. Right now I am still messing with the unicode stuff.
