Developed by Roberto Ierusalimschy, Waldemar Celes and Luiz Henrique de Figueiredo, Lua stood out for its simplicity, efficiency and versatility, making it a popular choice in several areas, such as games, embedded systems and web applications.

Its continuous evolution has brought significant achievements: extensive use in the video game industry, with renowned titles such as "World of Warcraft"; its incorporation into major projects such as the Apache HTTP Server and the Unity game engine; and its adoption by large companies such as Adobe, Cisco and NASA, evidencing its relevance in the development of robust and scalable solutions.

Today, upon completing 30 years, Lua celebrates a remarkable and promising legacy, boosting the creativity of programmers around the world and inspiring new generations to explore the vast universe of programming.
