I'd be happy to help with an app like that if someone can find the data source. I wouldn't be surprised if it's heavily encrypted, though. If there's a web site where the government is posting air raid data in real time, one could certainly build an app to monitor that and trigger alarms. I see people reviewing the existing app are asking for control over the alarm volume and the option to monitor multiple locations, which makes sense. Perhaps they'll add those features to the current app.

The site does not have, in large cities there are telegram channels that transmit via telegram. but in small towns and villages the air alarm is activated only through loudspeakers on the street and through this application on the phone.

I think that you can install an Android emulator on your computer, and track what data is sent, for example, by the program 'Wireshark'

with the leg nothing serious, just inflammation of the joints from hypothermia. My age and my old injuries make themselves felt. For several days I could not walk, now I can move with a crutch.

I've thought about this a lot, and there are concerns that have kept me from trying to build this app. There are some possible technical hurdles, but my biggest concern the consequences of any potential problems. Besides the risk of bugs in the app, the app could fail to sound an alarm if the data source it relied on changed in some way. I've had a feature in an app of mine stop working when an API it used changed its interface, but that only meant users planning a fishing excursion had to use a different app to see the weather forecast. In this case, since there's an existing app that can be trusted (even if it's missing some desirable features) I'd hate to put out an alternate app in which problems, some potentially beyond the control of the app's own code, could cost lives.

I'd very much like to help in some way, but the last thing I'd want to do is develop something that might unknowingly make people less safe.

I have slightly different goals. I did not plan to replace the official program. - On the phone in the background can run several programs. I planned to do additional features.

for example, the official program allows you to turn on only one region, and there are people who live on the border between two regions -and therefore there is a need to choose the alarm for several regions at once.

It is also often the case that the alarm coverage area is very large and very inaccurate - and people sit in shelter for 70 hours. - I have an idea to calculate the approximate time of the missile's approach to each region. well, there are many other ideas.

now I do it partly by scripts in the browser - and then I plan to dump this information in the telegram channel. - Well, as an experiment.

but the official alarm program on the phone works in parallel, also in most cities there are official telegram channels to which alerts come, also the siren is turned on outside through loudspeakers, and also on all emergency radio frequencies and television there is also a warning.

warning system is quite good against cruise missiles and against aircraft, we have many victims of missiles hail system - the system does not have time to warn about them. - The government tried to negotiate with Israel to acquire their system of protection against hail - but the Israeli government is completely on Putin's side.

I learned that a similar program also works to prevent earthquakes. so I think it is possible to make a universal program in which you can choose - the data source and adapt for any country in the future ..

@oleg understand this please, this is a programming forum not a discussion place for politics, religion, war and so on. In every forum i have been it is forbidden to talk politics, religion and those kinds of sensitive things.

After saying this one now my thoughts:

I totally understand your case, people are dying, innocent people are dying because of war and Russian invasion, and it is your country. If we are sensitive you are 10 times more sensitive. I, as a Turkish citizen really sorry for your country. Hope everything will be ok soon and no more innocent lives will be lost and peace will come again. No need for me to say that i am against war.

But, don't post here pictures of war or anything about war again. Your program idea was good and whoever wanted to help already wrote, whoever can not also wrote their ideas and so on, nothing was wrong about it, but posting other than those things are not ok according to me. You can create a skype, telegram ,WhatsApp group or any other place which suits you and whoever interested can join there. These things can be shared or talked over how much you want but not in this programming forum.

I am a Turkish citizen and Muslim also. Let me also post the pictures of Palestine/Israel war which started long ago Russian invasion, how they killed innocent people there, tortured and so on and still continuing...and then someone from Syria will post how ISIS killing people there and decapitating ones who are not thinking like them...or PKK terrorist who have killed more than 30 thousand people in my country...or someone from Afghanistan...this will continue forever.
