Uploading finished. cannot read : Is a directory

Hi, everytime I try to upload my game to my phone's player I get "Uploading finished.
cannot read : Is a directory" and everytime I upload to the Desktop Gideros Palyer I get this error "Uploading finished.
cannot open : Permission denied". Any thoughts? Thanks

Did you install Gideros to the default location?

Yes I have been using Gideros since 2013 I think. Never had this issue. Today started gideros and just cant deploy to device.

There was a issue leading in that message that was fixed in 2019.12. It was caused by the studio not correctly indexing newly added files, closing and reopening the project used to be enough to get things back working.

@dreiko65 also delete the entire old folder because it does not seem to delete everything before installing the new version.

@antix thanks for the tip. @hgy29 I tried everything, uninstalled the previous version, deleted the folder, installed the latest version, built a new Gideros Player for my android device, restarted pc and mobile but no luck, still the same message.

1- what machine are you on?
2- with new gideros version, is your problem related to mobile only or still both gideros player and mobile?

PS: I have some issues exporting to html5 with new gideros version on my windows machine so I went back to previous gideros and sometimes I have the message cannot open : Permission denied but as hgy29 stated I just save my project close and reopen gideros. No problem at all for android, windows, html5 export.

@MoKaLux I am on windows 10. The problem occurs only on one of my projects though. Tried to deploy my other projects and they all work fine. Only one project refuses to deploy on android and Gideros Player. I will recheck my projects files tonight. Maybe I will make a new project and copy the files from the old one there and see if it works.

Can you check your .gproj file with a text editor ? Maybe there is a folder or file with an empty name referenced

How this happened remains a mystery

@hgy29 indeed. I also had to tick "exclude from execution" on some files and "automatic downsize" on some assets. They were set before but after that I had to do it again. Now I get some errors from Play Console regarding the GTween class. I will have to check that as well.
