Minimum android api?

Generally, which is the recommended minimum android api for a gideros project (with no plugins) nowadays?

Ideally I would say the lower the better, you'll then get the largest range of users. Gideros requires API 9, although google doesn't even mention it anymore in their charts: https://developer.android.com/about/dashboards/index.html

@saeys If you want to go on the max number of devices - Android TV, etc then 22 works best as the target with 9 being set as the min in the background (I think!)...

And I believe the philosophy is different when it comes to iOS? (Or rather 'no philosophy' - like everything should run on any OS version? :-?)

Well on iOS the minimum target selectable from the list is 8.0 indeed, but you can still manually type 6.0 and it works
