How to deploy an app on Google Playstore?

Hi,
I have several projects which aren't finished.
I know how to create an apk and successfully deployed some of my apps on my android phone.
But I have no clue what it takes to actually publish something in the playstore.
A step by step guide on how to do this would be extremely nice.
(edit: I'm not thinking about a complete/perfect documentation with all things you could do. I just want to see one of my apps in the store, for now)

I think the best place to start is here: https://play.google.com/apps/publish
Get yourself an app publisher account with Google and let them guide you.
Beside the APK itself, you will need marketting material like icons, screenshots, descriptions and so on.
