They doesn't support google services and google billing. Apps without them made with giderod will work fine. But do we need them? Samsung generates really small amount of downloads, but their testing team makes me cry sometime. And Samsung has much more devices. I don't want to port games for Nokia... May be 1 or 2 if they will give something back like Blackberry or Amazon.

@Chang admob with old libs, not that included in google services - yes. Amazon - yes, but why? Amazon will not generate any impressions on markets that was declared as targets for Nokia X.
I tried the apk tester - Google play services didn't show up as an error - nokia don't like the billing though.
@Chang - I did too - but not from the publish now link on the website - I just created an account the 'normal' way.

No there won't be "high-end" Nokia X as it is considered to be a "feeder" for users to upgrade to Lumia (WP8). It's targeted mainly for emerging markets.
@SinisterSoft I see that we can already submit apk to publish. Anyway how should we sign the apk? Not sure how it works for Nokia. I read their conversion guidelines, the google billing can be changed to nokia billing via some simple steps.

@phongtt: It's been announced by the 'project leader' that X range is coming to the UK (and everywhere else), just not to the USA or Japan I think.

@SinisterSoft: I didn't mean Nokia X will sell only in emerging markets (like Asia, LATAM,...)
I mean it's actually the strategy. Nokia X to be a "feeder" for user to upgrade to Lumia (WP8). This is what I myself saw in the live webcast from Nokia chef yesterday. The press also mentioned it:
"Which leads me to this whole “feeding” Lumia strategy; Nokia’s belief that its Android-based Nokia X can be a feeder for users who’ll eventually upgrade to a more powerful (and more expensive) Lumia running Windows Phone." http://techcrunch.com/2014/02/24/nandroid/
@Nascode I think they will sell really well (Nokia make great phones) and they will release high end versions - to them it's just a firmware update from existing models - so no extra manufacturing costs - in fact the cost of manufacturing will come down (for the Lumia phones too) because of greater volume.

Microsoft 'new vision' seems to be as a services company - if that is the case then and Android is in over 80% of phones then it makes sense for them to provide their services to that OS. Microsoft also make a lot of money from Android via patent licence fees - if they make Android more popular then they actually make more money, not less - especially since Windows phone costs them money at present. It's like backing two horses if you ask me.

I think they will sell well anyway - the battery life on the X and the XL looks amazing for a smartphone - the X+ no so much though (but still good).

So we can hardly expect there will be high-end X devices. The current spec is pretty low: http://conversations.nokia.com/2014/02/24/nokia-x-family/
Who knows about future, let's just create more games
