hey guys, looking forward to using gideros. Though I am having a problem with gideros studio crashing after running 'compile' for any project.. examples included. I am running snow leopard with the latest updates. Also, gideros studio editor opens with the interface all out of place and I have to resize editor pane, output pane and so on.. something is wrong.. Any help is appreciated!
That's something definitely wrong. I'm really glad if you can help finding the problem?
1. Are you using beta3 or beta7? 2. Open Gideros Studio, resize your windows and then close it. Can you see an .ini file at ~/.config/giderosmobile.com/GiderosStudio.ini Gideros Studio should write the last window positions there.
I suspect from that Gideros Studio cannot write files (because of some user read/write permissions)
on my MacBook Pro (lion 10.7.2) never experienced something like this. neither on my (macPro that is an hackintosh with lion 10.7.2). (using gideros beta 7)
on both system Gideros crash when i change project with more than one lua file. (already reported to the Team).

how do I properly install gideros? I am new to mac os, so I may be installing or doing something wrong here. I am running an intel mac mini with snow leopard 10.6.8. I have tried resizing the window panes, the posistions are now remembered after copying gideros studio to the 'Applications' folder in mac os. so that seems to be okay now. But gideros studio still crashes after trying to compile an example.
This may be why.. from System Software Overview:
64-bit Kernel and Extensions: No
do I need to boot mac os into 64-bit mode?
and thanks for the help guys, seems a great community here.
To normal way to install Gideros Studio is double clicking the .dmg file and drag+drop the Gideros folder to Applications folder.
I think the crash has a different reason. Because on 32-bit macs, Gideros Studio doesn't open either. Can you look at your processor using the instructions here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3696
Also on my mac book it says "64-bit Kernel and Extensions: No" but my processor is Intel Core 2 Duo (which is 64-bit) And I'm running Gideros Studio without any problem.
