Problems with Gideros Studio 2012.09.10

Hello,

I have big problems with running app on Android (2.3). Apk file was installed without problems. At application start shows up "Made with Gideros Studio" splash screen and after that app quits without any message!?!? Everything works ok in Gideros Player. Whats wrong?!? I need help badly!!!!!

plug device under eclipse; run app, then copy from logcat logs; for 90% such problems are caused by case sensitiveness of graphic files name.

Thx! If I understand, all file names must be lowercase?!?

No they must be used same case they are.
Like sometimes you may have image.PNG but you'd use it inside Gideros Studio as image.png it will work anywhere, except exported Android apk, because Android file system is case sensitive

Maybe the emulator should check the case of the files on hdd and bring up a warning for this case?

I think that is an excellent idea also, when running on a real device I think maybe the lua runtime could do a non-case sensitive search in allfiles.txt for the filename you are trying to access and then actually load the file using the name from allfiles.txt. That way any problems will be corrected by the loader and we should never see this error ever again.

@Scouser totally agree case mismatch problem is the most common one.
