Hey guys, I am DarkPixel from Greece, Athens.I found Gideros yesterday, by searching for an android game engine. Previously I have used Monkey mostly, and other non gaming related languages/IDEs like Delphi, C#, VB.net and Basic4Android. For creating games I have also used Construct, which is now my 2nd favorite, after finding Gideros!
Well, I really like Gideros, I see it is just great for what I want to do. Create games. Although, it would be better if you guys had step by step tutorials, since I don't know how to make the simplest things now, even though I have been coding for years using other languages.
Well, I hope I learn many new stuff here, and even contribute to the Gideros community!

Probably other community members will show you other ways, but first and foremost, I'd suggest you do the following:
- Read the Developer FAQ in our Wiki (http://giderosmobile.com/DevCenter), and most documents there in general
- Try out the examples that come with Gideros Studio
- Print out Gideros Reference Manual and read it in the bus, at school, at work - whenever you find some time (http://www.giderosmobile.com/gideros-academy)
- Read Arturs' (appcodingeasy.com/Gideros-Mobile) and Avo's docs (http://giderostutorials.com/)
Before these, please install the Player first, so you can immediately test your app directly on the hardware (see http://www.giderosmobile.com/DevCenter/index.php/Deployment)
Gideros Studio is a wonderful SDK, but I now believe its community is far more better than the SDK itself ;-)

I never know before that @MikeHart wrote book about Monkey. Is there any chance a book about Gideros will come?

There is also at least one book on Corona by PacketPub I should imagine most of the concepts would be easily transferable.
