  Maybe try creating a stand alone APK for your app and installing it. See if that stutters... I'm not sure if the Gideros player is normally slower than a stand alone app or not... Does the player need to poll the pc via wifi?

  Only thing Gideros player may do additionally, is to connect and send information back to PC, so I don't know, may be in case of slow connection, there can be stutter, but I think it is unlikely.
  
  Did the other games you tried to run are made with Gideros?

  Thanks, I'll try this. (I currently can't login the license manager, it says wrong name or password, I'll try again later...)
  
  About the polling via wifi, I don't know whether it does, but It looks like having "v-sync turned off". I've tried Gideros last year with a Galaxy Tab, and there the player ran smooth iirc.

  I don't know how the other games are made, but probably not with Gideros. It was a few games like "Mega Run".

  I've tried Mega Run again, and it's stuttering just the same. I just didn't realize it because of its graphics. So everything is fine actually. Except I thought from Android 4.1 things would look like vsynced, but they do not. Nothing does.

  John26, I'm just trying nebulafree and the sprites have the usual stuttering, but the rotating background does not. I guess I'm just fooling myself again because the rotating background isn't giving much movement to see, so I probably just can't see the stutter.
  
  Well, I'm pretty sure on my Galaxy Tab this was much smoother, but anyway, I should just ignore it, I guess.

  Some Android devices are really too slow for games. My dad's Galaxy Ace is really slow... On Nebula Retro, try changing the graphics to 8 bit (Options > graphics). You may find the frame rate increases.

  ok, funny thing: when i plug in the headphones, the stutter is completely gone. tested 10 times. headphones: no stutter. no headphones: stutter.
  
  ok ermm.. speakers ... drain voltage from .. gpu? anyway, if anyone works with an asus memo pad, use headphones!

  I know this is an odd question, but does the screen 'stutter' for you if you are constantly moving your finger on the screen?
