Hi,
I am having a few issues trying to figure out a way to change tiles in the map dynamically.
e.g a user clicks a button on the screen the cactus tile turns into a plain sand tile?
Any help would be appreciated.

You can use TileMap:setTile function to change the tiles dynamically:
