Test on low res notebook

Hi,
My son (10 years) also want's to learn programming and experimenting with graphics.
I run Gideros on a 15" MacBook. This works great. The notebook of my son has a
resolution of (don't laugh) 1024x600 pixels. At the moment I am testing some stuff on
a 480x960 iPhone and simulator. On this notebook this will not work. Question is, is
there an easy way (scaling) to test the same graphics in for example the 320x480
(iPhone) Gideros Simulator?
