  But you don't need to upgrade your android. You only need to install Android 4.03 SDK through SDK Manager. (I've attached a screenshot)

  I guess the other way to put it, is that you need to upgrade android on your computer and NOT your phone. If this was the case

  edit--> i think i have it after reading the other post. i can target 4.03 however, it will work for Android devices 2.2 and above correct?!

  yes @mysps it will work for the devices 2.2 and above. In your manifest.xml you will see that minumum sdk is 8 it means 2.2 and above.

  Ok just for information about min sdk version and target sdk version. So whatever Gideros studio is compiling in android it's taget sdk level will be set as API Level: 15 (4.03) and Minsdklevel is set to 8 2.2
  
  android:minSdkVersion
  
  An integer designating the minimum API Level required for the application to run. The Android system will prevent the user from installing the application if the system's API Level is lower than the value specified in this attribute. You should always declare this attribute.
  
  android:targetSdkVersion
  
  An integer designating the API Level that the application is targetting.
  
  With this attribute set, the application says that it is able to run on older versions (down to minSdkVersion), but was explicitly tested to work with the version specified here. Specifying this target version allows the platform to disable compatibility settings that are not required for the target version (which may otherwise be turned on in order to maintain forward-compatibility) or enable newer features that are not available to older applications. This does not mean that you can program different features for different versions of the platform—it simply informs the platform that you have tested against the target version and the platform should not perform any extra work to maintain forward-compatibility with the target version.

  i haved added this to the manifestL
  
  but it keeps calling that error

  @mysps Also make sure you do a clean project to remove any pre-compiled code caches from Eclipse. I run into that trouble sometimes when I change libraries etc.

  I'm actually still getting the error code despite adding that feature for glEs and I have cleaned it and removed the project from Eclipse and added it again.

  @mysps if you published you application, and after it you deleted project from eclipse or changed it somehow, the only things that are needed to update the same program,
  1-Key file that you signed apk.
  2-same package name
  
  If you have those you can update you apk and publish it again in google play.

  Its not published yet. I was worried about the error code although it worked in the emulator..
