The API lists Application:getLogicalWidth() and so on. But gideros only recognizes application:getLogicalWidth(), with a non capital a.

The A is capitalized since they're documenting the functions in the Appplication class. On startup of a project, an instance of the Application class named "application" is automatically created for you. The other classes are documented in a similar way (although Application is unique in that an instance auto-created for you at startup) .
