Gideros Studio is way better than it used to be. To me there is no advantage to using VS over GS. I think Zerobrane has a debugger, but I've not used it.

I and my elder brother played her games. Especially Deathmask was our favorite. I was usually beating my brother in game and he was beating me in real life:D Great programmer, I am so much happy to see those old but ageless games come to life with Gideros. I hope she will be kind to share some part of her experience with us also through here or from her blog. @talis Really nice comments, it's great knowing that people appreciate your work, I've sent Patricia a message on Facebook with a link to your post.

Thank you for your kind words guys, there are little bits of my history on my site mostly about the early days though however i make many references to how it was back then in my blog, and i am sure that will continue.
As for what does visual studio bring that zerobrane does not its been awhile since i used zerobrane.
But on Visual studio you can :-
Drag out to another monitor. Have more than one copy of the same file open. Have bookmarks. Select, cut, copy and paste columns (huge plus). Record and playback key macros.
VS is fast and feels smooth and you can change the theme to dark which is easier on the eyes!
Click the stars, a blue triangle will appear, you can click the other stars to go up/down them and clear them all.
Dark themes work too - they are easy on the eyes.
What would be handy: Key macros (rec & playback). Multiple scroll positions within the same file (so you can see the top and bottom of a file at the same time) - this is better than opening the same file twice. A full debugger (not that I'd use it as I never make mistakes! )

I've tried Zerobrane, but didn't feel it was much different from Gideros IDE. I would like proper OOP auto completion. So if I have an instance of class Test, if I type "test." a list of self variables are listed, and typing "test:" would list the functions. Is that too much to ask?! Probably, but I thought I'd mention it.
I really like the new version of the official editor with the panel for functions, etc - it would be handy though if there was a switch to just show functions - or maybe colour the text differently so it's easier to spot functions from variables.

For me it's the only way to edit code.

zerobrane does have multiple cursors:

i think the only thing zerobrane misses from your list is macros.
