Looking at the Microsoft BUILD live video on Windows 8 development

They are talking about Windows Phone 8 supporting native C++ interfaces.
@Atilim, does that mean that we could (note it is could, not should
) have support for windows 8 with Gideros Studio? The only thing will be that to build for iOS we might need a mac and for windows 8 have a Windows Box with Visual Studio 2012 and Eclipse for Android. A bit cumbersome, but workable...

And BTW you would need Windows 8 OS with Visual Studio 2012 (which I'm actually running on a VirtualBox on my MacMini
When WP7 was released, I had a netbook just for office, etc and it could not run the emulator as it depended on DirectX, then I made a VM on the iMac gave it a good 4 GB RAM, loads of space, etc Did not work (at the time the emulator required a physical machine, did not work on a virtual machine) so I got a Windows Laptop, it was a good spec machine, still gave a lower Consumer Index than the VM running on the iMac. I know how painful it is...
I was a MSDN subscriber and just cut down on that expense as it was not going anywhere.

is "mandatory" supporting new mobile platforms like winPhone 8 (and his new and fresh store opportunity) before win/osx desktop support.
in last days i'm really interessed in new win8/winphone8 store for his "new" big chances.
hope @atilim and gideros stuff catch this opportunity.

IMO, the time when Indy devs can make money is when an ecosystem is just starting, NOT when it is mature and established. I think it's always been this way back to the days of the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64.
